I Have a Question.

Why is it that San Diego has an aversion to Bakeries?
Back East we have Lovely Bakeries...
on your way to a party or a friends house ....
you would always stop by a bakery for something special....
and it always came in a little pink cardboard box...
all tied up with string-
the best part was they weren't hard to find... they were everywhere.

So Bakers everywhere!
San Diego needs you!
We WANT you!

p.s.
it's not that I don't love to bake myself...
I do...
I really don't see why anyone would buy Processed Packed bake goods either...yuck!
but sometimes.... it's just nice to pop in and pick up something made the old fashioned way.

Strawberry Pickin'

We have Pick Your Own strawberry fields here in Southern California...

I have passed it by in my car THOUSANDS of times...

well...

yesterday was the day...

I don't know why...

but we went...

there was some good about it...

and some bad...

but all in all they were the best dam strawberries we ever ate...

YUM!!!
