Shabby Chic Interiors

So Rachel Ashwell has her new book out...
it really is beautiful...her photographer is amazing..all dusty and filtered looking...
my husband...so sweet... took me to her book signing in LaJolla at WARWICKS book store..soo cute. He was one of the only two men there...again so sweet...one dream checked off my list. It really was a fun night...she is an awesome lady and i gushed like a babbling idiot...what can i say she is Rachel Ashwell and i have never made any bones about how very much I LOVE SHABBY CHIC. The worn and tattered yet sweet and elegant style really speaks to me.
It is a cozy relaxed style that i have yet to get bored of. It was a truly great night...thank you honey for being there to share it with me.

It Time for The Grinch!

Every year we go to the OLD GLOBE THEATER in Balboa Park to see the grinch...
a mini tradition...we eat in LITTLE ITALY...we get COCO...we STROLL around BALBOA PARK...
but our little LUCIE LOU WHO , who has  always been too young to come...being no more than two and all...has turn three this year...uh-oh.
And so, against my better judgement, we are going to bring her along...
fingers crossed!

THE BEAUTY OF BUNKS...

A good friend of my just had some bunks made for her two kids...SOOO cute!
We have had ours for a few years now and we still love them...
we've had them put together and now they are side by side...
when Sophia gets alittle older i'll put them back together- which she so wants to do...
the only down side is trying to make the top bunk with the rails on!!! ugggh!
here is a picture from our old house and one from the home we live in now...
i love looking at pictures of my bedroom from when i was a kid....I hope they will too.

BROWN PAPER PACKAGES!!!!

This year for Thanksgiving I am thankful for sooo many things...
one of the things i'm thankful for is that i have a JOB...
I know so many people lost one this year and it really makes me feel SO GRATEFUL to be able to work...so as a thank you to my loyal clients i made up tiny little brown paper packages tied up with my hand sewn ribbon made from some vintage fabric...and i broke out my stamps and ink pad...and i added cute little pots of lip balm from Anthropologie and a couple of chocolate kisses...it got my crafting started off for the holiday season...So thank you powers that be for letting my tiny little business thrive.

TRICK or TREAT!!

They were very spooky...and much candy was hunted and gathered....and when their buckets got too heavy and their little feet got too tiered....it was time to call it a night.
